Student Feedback

Thanks for all your help!

It is always fantastic to get feedback from students, as it tells us where we are going right, but also how we can improve.

We would especially like to thank Craig for his comprehensive testimonial about our service, and we'd like to share that with you:

Good morning all,

I just wanted to write to thank you for all of your help during my courses, in particular the DET that I completed yesterday.

I feel that I have progressed massively in my personal development since undertaking qualifications with MKLC, and since the beginning of my learner journey at the start of 2014.

I began with the L5 management award, before progressing to the CTLLS, before going straight into the Assessor and Verifier certificates. Then as a glutton for punishment, enrolled on the DET. This was a challenge in more ways than one, and I had to take a study break last year due to some personal issues and a management changeover at my centre, however I adopted a more positive attitude and decided to 'nail' the rest of the course and finally got my notification of completion yesterday afternoon.

The DET is without doubt the most challenging course I have done, but I honestly really enjoyed it and feel that I have learned heaps of information that is guaranteed to help in my teaching career.

So, I wanted to thank you all - Maxine, for her help and guidance with the management, assessor and verifier courses, Clare for her expert assistance and tutoring on the DET, Judith for her fantastic approach with the CTLLS and all the other enquiries she helped with, and also Emma for her patience and understanding when the management at work let me down a little - I really couldn't have done any of it without you all!

So for now, I am looking forward to applying my new skills in my career, and am ready to move upwards to an FE college, or better still, (hopefully) a new management role at my current centre.

I am definitely not finished with learning though, and am looking for routes of progression from the DET. I will be applying for QTLS at the next application window, and I am also very interested in the subject specialism (English, maths and SEN) qualifications that MKLC are developing - I have taught a bit of Functional Skills this year and will be doing again next term, so hopefully I will be back with MKLC very soon to formalise it in the shape of another qualification!

Once again, thank you to everybody, best wishes, and hopefully I can work with you all again soon.

One very happy learner,

Craig Evans
